to Champion Sustainable Talent and Opportunity

(30 March 2026 – Hong Kong) – Great Eagle Group (Stock Code: 41) continues to support the holistic development of young people through sustained community investment. With the Group’s full support, the Great Eagle Music Children Ensemble presented its annual concert “Symphony of Light & Legacy”, last evening (29 March) at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. The event brought together over 500 guests from the government, business and social sectors to witness the transformative role of music in nurturing the next generation.

Distinguished guests in attendance included Mr Ho Kai Ming, JP, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, alongside members of the Legislative Council and District Council, business partners, representatives from social service organisations, as well as parents, students and stakeholders committed to youth development. United by a shared vision, they gathered in support of diversified pathways for youth growth and long-term community impact.

Inspiring Growth Through Music

Since 2018, Great Eagle has supported the establishment of the Great Eagle Music Children Ensemble by the Music Children Foundation, providing under-resourced children with structured and sustained early music education. To date, the programme has benefited nearly 200 students, with cumulative training spanning tens of thousands of hours across instrumental performance, ensemble practice, stage presentation and teamwork.

Beyond musical training, the programme places strong emphasis on building confidence, discipline and communication skills, offering an alternative pathway for youth development through the arts. As participants mature, many assume mentorship roles — guiding younger students and forming a virtuous cycle from learners to leaders — embodying the concert’s core theme of “legacy”.

Making Growth Visible on Stage

Nearly 100 ensemble members participated in the performance, presenting a programme of choral and orchestral works structured around a journey of growth —from exploration and self-discovery, to confidence, transformation and responsibility. The concert culminated in the finale, “Symphony of Light & Legacy”, symbolising the passing on of experience and values.

One ensemble member shared how he once avoided public performance due to a lack of confidence, but gradually found his voice through training and mentorship. Now performing on stage, he has also begun guiding younger members: “When I see someone standing where I once stood, I hope I can lend a helping hand.” This journey — from recipient to contributor — reflects one of the programme’s most meaningful outcomes.

Founders of the Music Children Foundation, Ms Annike Pong and Ms Monique Pong, added: “Our first cohort is now 22 years old. From having no musical background to becoming role models who guide younger students, this ‘life influencing life’ approach perfectly captures the essence of ‘legacy’.”

Shaping Long‑Term Impact Together

Mr Alexander Lo, Executive Director of Great Eagle Group, said: “We believe the value of an enterprise lies not only in business growth, but in its investment in society’s future. Through this platform, we hope children can build confidence and capabilities for life while learning music, and in time, give back to others — creating a positive and sustainable cycle. Our role as a corporate is to be a long-term partner in value creation, aligned with our vision of sustainable growth and progress.”

Cross-Sector Collaboration for Greater Impact

The event also served as a platform for meaningful exchange among stakeholders, fostering cross-sector collaboration in support of youth development. Looking ahead, the Group will continue to deepen partnerships with community organisations to advance sustainable, arts-based youth development initiatives — enabling more young people to broaden their horizons, build capabilities, and pursue diverse life pathways, while contributing to a resilient and sustainable society.
